 | Days passed and her situation got worse. She started to go blind, being able to see objects only directly in front of her eyes. She was very eager to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, but her japa became increasingly difficult because of her weak voice. So she asked me to chant in her ear and she followed me by fingering her beads in her hand. Mānasī Gaṇgā phoned Śrīla Gurudeva again on October 9th to inform him that Vraja Līlā did not have long to live. The next day we received a fax from Śrīla Gurudeva giving her his final instructions:
| | Los días pasaron y su situación empeoraba, comenzó a quedarse ciega, solo podía ver los objetos directamente enfrente de sus ojos, estaba muy ansiosa por cantar Hare Kṛṣṇa, pero su japa se le dificultaba cada vez más debido a su voz debilitada, de manera que me pidió que le cantara al oído y me seguía pasando sus dedos por las cuentas en sus manos. Mānasī Gaṇgā telefoneó nuevamente a Śrīla Gurudeva el 9 de Octubre para informarle que Vraja Līlā no viviría mucho más, al día siguiente recibimos un fax de Śrīla Gurudeva dando sus instrucciones finales:

My Dear Vraja Līlā,
Please accept my blessings. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
I have just received information from Mānasī Gaṇgā dāsī that the doctors in Vrndāvana say you will soon leave your body. I am praying you will go back home, back to Godhead, because you have rendered such nice service to the Lord in this lifetime.
Now, in these last moments, please fix your mind upon the eternal pastimes of the Lord. Pray to Him to remove any obstacles to pure devotion that remain within your heart and ask for the privilege of eternal service to His lotus feet. He will surely answer your prayers, as He has kindly brought you to Śrī Vrndāvana-dhāma in the last days of your life, where He has given you the shelter of so many loving devotees.
Please know that now I am thinking of you every minute of the day, even in the midst of my busy schedule. I am constantly praying to Śrīla Prabhupāda to watch over and guide you in this final test, your departure from your body. By his grace we can transcend the most difficult moments.
You are my very dear spiritual daughter and I will feel your separation intensely. But know for sure that the spiritual master and the disciple are never separated even for a moment, because the relationship is eternal. One day all of us—the members of ISKCON—will be together again in the spiritual world, safe at the lotus feet of Śrīla Prabhupāda. Śrīla Prabhupāda said we will have our ISKCON in the spiritual sky.
My prayer is that Kṛṣṇa will soon take you to the shade of His lotus feet, engaging you in His eternal service. My blessings are always with you, Vraja. I will look forward to seeing you again in the not-toodistant future.

Mi querida Vraja Līlā:
Por favor acepta mis bendiciones. Todas las glorias a Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Acabo de recibir la información de Mānasī Gaṇgā dāsī de que los doctores en Vṛndāvana dicen que dejarás tu cuerpo muy pronto, estoy orando por que vuelvas al hogar, de vuelta a Dios, pues has prestado tan buen servicio al Señor en esta vida.
Ahora en estos últimos momentos, por favor fija tu mente en los pasatiempos eternos del Señor. Órale a Él para que remueva todos los obstáculos a la devoción pura que permanezcan en tu corazón y solicita el privilegio del servicio eterno a Sus pies de loto. El Señor seguramente responderá a tus plegarias, pues te ha traído bondadosamente a Śrī Vṛndāvana-dhāma en los últimos días de tu vida, donde te ha dado el refugio de tantos devotos amorosos.
Por favor quiero que sepas que ahora pienso en ti en cada minuto del día, incluso en medio de mi atareado programa. Oro constantemente a Śrīla Prabhupāda que te cuide y te guíe en esta prueba final, tu partida de ese cuerpo. Por su gracia podemos trascender los momentos más difíciles.
Tú eres mi muy querida hija espiritual y sentiré tu separación intensamente. Ten la seguridad de que el maestro espiritual y el discípulo nunca se separan, ni siquiera por un momento, porque la relación es eterna. Un día todos nosotros –los miembros de ISKCON– estaremos juntos de nuevo en el mundo espiritual, seguros a los pies de loto de Śrīla Prabhupāda. Śrīla Prabhupāda dijo que tendremos nuestro ISKCON en el cielo espiritual.
Mi plegaria es que Kṛṣṇa pronto te lleve al amparo de Sus pies de loto, ocupándote en Su servicio eterno. Mis bendiciones siempre están contigo, Vraja, esperaré con ansia el momento de volver a verte en un futuro no muy lejano.

| | | From the wording of the fax we could understand that Śrīla Gurudeva would not be coming. We hesitated to read it to her. That evening Tamal Krishna Mahārāja, Girirāja Mahārāja and other devotees came and led beautiful kīrtanas in Vraja Līlā’s room. But Vraja was looking around anxiously and wanted to know if her Guru Mahārāja was coming or not. She said she was not peaceful, despite the wonderful kīrtanas. I decided to tell her the truth, hoping she might be pacified in the presence of those Vaisṇavas and give up the idea to see her Guru Mahārāja before her final test. So I leaned over and told her that Śrīla Gurudeva had sent a message: he had so many responsibilities in Poland and it was not possible for him to come. I asked her to see Guru Mahārāja’s godbrothers as his representatives sent to help her.
| | De las palabras del fax pudimos comprender que Śrīla Gurudeva no vendría, vacilamos en leérselo esa noche, Tamala Kṛṣṇa Mahārāja, Girirāja Mahārāja y otros devotos vinieron y celebraron un hermoso kīrtana en la habitación de Vraja Līlā, pero Vraja estaba ansiosamente mirando alrededor y quería saber si su Guru Mahārāja iba a venir o no, dijo que no estaba en paz a pesar de los maravillosos kīrtanas, por lo que decidí decirle la verdad esperando que pudiera ser tranquilizada en presencia de esos vaiṣṇavas y abandonara la idea de ver a su Guru Mahārāja antes de su prueba final. De modo que me incliné y le dije que Śrīla Gurudeva había enviado el mensaje de que tenía muchas responsabilidades en Polonia y que no le era posible venir, le pedí que viera a los hermanos espirituales de Guru Mahārāja como sus representantes enviados para ayudarla.
