yūyaṁ brahma-vido yuktās
tapasā dagdha-kilbiṣāḥ
kutaḥ saṅkalpa-vaiṣamyam
anṛtaṁ vibudheṣv iva

 | You are all self-controlled, well balanced in mind, and aware of the Absolute Truth. And because of austerities and penances you are completely cleansed of all material contamination. Your words, like those of the demigods, are never baffled. Then how is it possible that your determination has failed? | | | Todos vosotros poseéis dominio sobre vosotros mismos, tenéis una mente bien equilibrada, y sois conscientes de la Verdad Absoluta. Además, debido a las austeridades y penitencias, os habéis limpiado por completo de toda contaminación material. Vuestras palabras, como las de los semidioses, nunca dejan de cumplirse. ¿Cómo es posible entonces que vuestro esfuerzo no se vea satisfecho con el éxito? | |
PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | We have learned from many Vedic literatures that a benediction or curse given by the demigods never proves false. By performing austerities and penances, by controlling the senses and mind, and by achieving full knowledge of the Absolute Truth, one is fully cleansed of material contamination. Then one’s words and blessings, like those of the demigods, are never a failure. | | | Hemos visto en muchas Escrituras védicas que las bendiciones o maldiciones dadas por los semidioses siempre se cumplen. Con la práctica de austeridades y penitencias, el control de la mente y los sentidos, y el conocimiento completo de la Verdad Absoluta, la persona se limpia totalmente de la contaminación material. Entonces, sus palabras y bendiciones, como las de los semidioses, nunca dejan de cumplirse. | | |
