evaṁ ca pārṣadau viṣṇoḥ
putratvaṁ prāpitau diteḥ
hṛdi sthitena hariṇā
vaira-bhāvena tau hatau

Thus the two associates of Lord Viṣṇu who had become Hiraṇyākṣa and Hiraṇyakaśipu, the sons of Diti, were both killed. By illusion they had thought that the Supreme Lord, who is situated in everyone’s heart, was their enemy.

De este modo fueron matados los dos sirvientes del Señor Viṣṇu que nacieron como Hiraṇyākṣa e Hiraṇyakaśipu, los hijos de Diti. Bajo la influencia de la ilusión, habían pensado que el Señor Supremo, que Se encuentra en el corazón de todos, era su enemigo.

PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO

	The discourse concerning Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva and Prahlāda Mahārāja began when Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira asked Nārada how Śiśupāla had merged into the body of Kṛṣṇa. Śiśupāla and Dantavakra were the same Hiraṇyākṣa and Hiraṇyakaśipu. Here Nārada Muni is relating how in three different births the associates of Lord Viṣṇu were killed by Lord Viṣṇu Himself. First they were the demons Hiraṇyākṣa and Hiraṇyakaśipu.			El relato acerca del Señor Nṛsiṁhadeva y Mahārāja Prahlāda comenzó cuando Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira preguntó a Nārada la razón de que Śiśupāla se hubiera fundido en el cuerpo de Kṛṣṇa. Śiśupāla y Dantavakra eran los mismos Hiraṇyākṣa e Hiraṇyakaśipu. En estos versos, Nārada Muni explica que esos sirvientes del Señor Viṣṇu fueron matados personalmente por el Señor Viṣṇu en tres vidas sucesivas. En su primera vida fueron los demonios Hiraṇyākṣa e Hiraṇyakaśipu.
