yadi vaḥ pradhane śraddhā

 | O insignificant demigods, if you truly have faith in your heroism, if you have patience in the cores of your hearts and if you are not ambitious for sense gratification, please stand before me for a moment. | | | ¡Oh, insignificantes semidioses!, si de verdad tenéis fe en vuestro heroísmo, si tenéis paciencia en lo más profundo del corazón, y si no ambicionáis la complacencia de los sentidos, por favor, venid ante mí por un momento. | |

| | Rebuking the demigods, Vṛtrāsura challenged, “O demigods, if you are actually heroes, stand before me now and try to show your prowess. If you do not wish to fight, if you are afraid of losing your lives, I shall not kill you, for unlike you, I am not so evil minded as to kill persons who are neither heroic nor willing to fight. If you have faith in your heroism, please stand before me.” | | | Vṛtrāsura reñía y desafiaba a los semidioses: «¡Oh, semidioses! si de verdad son héroes, vengan ante mí y demuestren su valor. Si no desean luchar, si temen por sus vidas, no los mataré, pues, a diferencia de ustedes, yo no tengo una mentalidad tan vil como para matar a personas que ni son heroicas ni desean luchar. Si tienen fe en su heroísmo, por favor, vengan ante Mí». | | |
