हेलनं गिरिशभ्रातुर्धनदस्य त्वया कृतम् ।
यज्जघ्निवान्पुण्यजनान्भ्रातृघ्नानित्यमर्षितः ॥३३॥
helanaṁ giriśa-bhrātur
dhanadasya tvayā kṛtam
yaj jaghnivān puṇya-janān
bhrātṛ-ghnān ity amarṣitaḥ

 | My dear Dhruva, you thought that the Yakṣas killed your brother, and therefore you have killed great numbers of them. But by this action you have agitated the mind of Lord Śiva’s brother Kuvera, who is the treasurer of the demigods. Please note that your actions have been very disrespectful to Kuvera and Lord Śiva. | | | Mi querido Dhruva, pensando que los yakṣas habían matado a tu hermano, mataste a muchísimos de ellos. Pero, actuando así, has agitado la mente de Kuvera, el tesorero de los semidioses, que es hermano del Señor Śiva. PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | Lord Manu stated that Dhruva Mahārāja had been offensive to Lord Śiva and his brother Kuvera because the Yakṣas belonged to Kuvera’s family. They were not ordinary persons. As such, they have been described as puṇya-janān, pious men. Somehow or other the mind of Kuvera had been agitated, and Dhruva Mahārāja was advised to pacify him. | | | El Señor Manu afirmó que Dhruva Mahārāja había ofendido al Señor Śiva y a su hermano Kuvera, puesto que los yakṣas pertenecían a la familia de Kuvera. No eran personas corrientes, sino que se les ha descrito con las palabras puṇya-janān, «hombres piadosos».
