तेषां मैरेयदोषेण विषमीकृतचेतसाम्
निम्लोचति रवावासीद्वेणूनामिव मर्दनम्
teṣāṁ maireya-doṣeṇa
viṣamīkṛta-cetasām
nimlocati ravāv āsīd
veṇūnām iva mardanam

 | As by the friction of bamboos destruction takes place, so also, at sunset, by the interaction of the faults of intoxication, all their minds became unbalanced, and destruction took place. | | | Así como por la fricción de unos bambúes ocurre la destrucción, así también, al ponerse el Sol, por la interacción de los males de la embriaguez, todas sus mentes se trastornaron, y ocurrió la destrucción. | |
PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | When there is need of fire in the forest, by the will of the Supreme it takes place due to friction among the bamboos. Similarly, the descendants of Yadu were all destroyed by the will of the Lord by the process of self-destruction. Just as there is no possibility of a fire’s occurring deep in the forest due to human effort, so also there was no power in the universe which could vanquish the descendants of Yadu, who were protected by the Lord. The Lord wanted them to be so destroyed, and thus they obeyed His order, as indicated by the word tad-anujñāta.
| | | Cuando hay necesidad de un incendio en el bosque, tiene lugar, por la voluntad del Supremo, debido a la fricción de los bambúes. En forma similar, los descendientes de Yadu fueron todos destruidos, por la voluntad del Señor, mediante el proceso de la autodestrucción. Así como no hay ninguna posibilidad de que ocurra un incendio en lo profundo del bosque debido a un esfuerzo humano, así mismo tampoco había ningún poder en el universo que pudiera vencer a los descendientes de Yadu, que estaban protegidos por el Señor. El Señor quería que fueran destruidos, así pues, obedecieron Su orden, como se indica con la palabra tad-anujñāta. | | |
