अधस्तान्नरलोकस्य यावतीर्यातनादयः ।

adhastān nara-lokasya
yāvatīr yātanādayaḥ
kramaśaḥ samanukramya
punar atrāvrajec chuciḥ

 | Having gone through all the miserable, hellish conditions and having passed in a regular order through the lowest forms of animal life prior to human birth, and having thus been purged of his sins, one is reborn again as a human being on this earth. | | | Después de pasar por todos los atroces sufrimientos del infierno, y después de pasar, una tras otra, por las formas más bajas de vida animal que anteceden al nacimiento humano, y haber purgado de esa forma sus pecados, nace de nuevo en la Tierra como ser humano. | |
PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | Just as a prisoner, who has undergone troublesome prison life, is set free again, the person who has always engaged in impious and mischievous activities is put into hellish conditions, and when he has undergone different hellish lives, namely those of lower animals like cats, dogs and hogs, by the gradual process of evolution he again comes back as a human being. In Bhagavad-gītā it is stated that even though a person engaged in the practice of the yoga system may not finish perfectly and may fall down for some reason or other, his next life as a human being is guaranteed. It is stated that such a person, who has fallen from the path of yoga practice, is given a chance in his next life to take birth in a very rich family or in a very pious family. It is interpreted that “rich family” refers to a big mercantile family because generally people who engage in trades and mercantile business are very rich. One who engaged in the process of self-realization, or connecting with the Supreme Absolute Truth, but fell short is allowed to take birth in such a rich family, or in the family of pious brāhmaṇas; either way, he is guaranteed to appear in human society in his next life. It can be concluded that if someone is not willing to enter into hellish life, as in Tāmisra or Andha-tāmisra, then he must take to the process of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, which is the first-class yoga system, because even if one is unable to attain complete Kṛṣṇa consciousness in this life, he is guaranteed at least to take his next birth in a human family. He cannot be sent into a hellish condition. Kṛṣṇa consciousness is the purest life, and it protects all human beings from gliding down to hell to take birth in a family of dogs or hogs.

Bhaktivedanta Svāmi Prabhupāda of the Third Canto, Thirtieth Chapter, of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, entitled “Description by Lord Kapila of Adverse Fruitive Activities.” | | | Tal como se pone de nuevo en libertad a un prisionero que ha sufrido la penosa vida de la prisión, la persona que se ha ocupado siempre en actividades impías y malvadas se ve expuesta a condiciones infernales y después de sufrir diversas vidas infernales - a saber: las vidas de los animales inferiores, como los gatos, los perros y los cerdos - , siguiendo el proceso gradual de evolución, regresa de nuevo como ser humano. En el Bhagavad-gītā se afirma que si alguien se ocupa en la práctica del sistema de yoga, y por una u otra razón no la completa perfectamente y cae, en su siguiente vida tiene garantizado un nacimiento como ser humano. Se afirma que esa persona, que ha caído del sendero de la práctica del yoga, recibe en su siguiente vida la oportunidad de nacer en una familia muy rica o muy piadosa. Se entiende que «familia rica» indica una gran familia de comerciantes, ya que, por lo general, la gente que se dedica al comercio y a los negocios es muy rica. Cuando alguien se ocupa en el proceso de autorrealización y busca conectarse con la Verdad Absoluta Suprema, pero no alcanza la meta, recibe la oportunidad de nacer en una familia rica, o puede nacer en una familia de brāhmaṇas piadosos; cualquiera que sea el caso, en su siguiente vida tiene garantizado el nacimiento en la sociedad humana. En conclusión, todo aquel que desee evitarse la vida infernal de planetas como Tāmisra o Andha-tāmisra, debe adoptar el proceso de Conciencia de Kṛṣṇa, que es el sistema de yoga por excelencia, y así, incluso si no puede llegar al estado de plena Conciencia de Kṛṣṇa en esta vida, al menos tiene garantizado en la siguiente el nacimiento en una familia humana. No puede ser enviado a condiciones infernales. La vida consciente de Kṛṣṇa es la vida más pura, y protege a los seres humanos de deslizarse hacia el infierno y nacer en una familia de perros o de cerdos.
