मिथो यदैषां भविता विवादो मध्वामदाताम्रविलोचनानाम्
नैषां वधोपाय इयानतोऽन्यो मय्युद्यतेऽन्तर्दधते स्वयं स्म
mitho yadaiṣāṁ bhavitā vivādo
madhv-āmadātāmra-vilocanānām
naiṣāṁ vadhopāya iyān ato ’nyo
mayy udyate ’ntardadhate svayaṁ sma

 | When they quarrel among themselves, influenced by intoxication, with their eyes red like copper because of drinking [madhu], then only will they disappear; otherwise, it will not be possible. On My disappearance, this incident will take place. | | | Cuando riñan entre sí, influenciados por la embriaguez, con sus ojos rojos como el cobre a consecuencia de la bebida [madhu], sólo entonces desaparecerán; de no ser así, no será posible. PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | The Lord and His associates appear and disappear by the will of the Lord. They are not subjected to the laws of material nature. No one was able to kill the family of the Lord, nor was there any possibility of their natural death by the laws of nature. The only means, therefore, for their disappearance was the make-show of a fight amongst themselves, as if brawling in intoxication due to drinking. That so-called fighting would also take place by the will of the Lord; otherwise there would be no cause for their fighting. Just as Arjuna was made to be illusioned by family affection and thus the Bhagavad-gītā was spoken, so the Yadu dynasty was made to be intoxicated by the will of the Lord, and nothing more. The devotees and associates of the Lord are completely surrendered souls. Thus they are transcendental instruments in the hands of the Lord and can be used in any way the Lord desires. The pure devotees also enjoy such pastimes of the Lord because they want to see Him happy. Devotees of the Lord never assert independent individuality; on the contrary, they utilize their individuality in pursuit of the desires of the Lord, and this cooperation of the devotees with the Lord makes a perfect scene of the Lord’s pastimes.
| | | El Señor y Sus acompañantes aparecen y desaparecen por la voluntad del Señor. Ellos no están sujetos a las leyes de la naturaleza material. Nadie podía matar a la familia del Señor, ni había posibilidad alguna de que murieran en forma natural por las leyes de la naturaleza. Por consiguiente, la única manera en que podía ocurrir su desaparición era que fingieran luchar entre sí, como si riñeran embriagados por la bebida. La supuesta lucha también tendría lugar por la voluntad del Señor, sin lo cual no habría causa para que pelearan. Así como se hizo que Arjuna estuviera influenciado por la ilusión debido al afecto familiar y a raíz de esto se habló el Bhagavad-gītā, del mismo modo, por la voluntad del Señor, y por nada más, se hizo que la dinastía Yadu se embriagara. Los devotos y acompañantes del Señor son almas completamente entregadas. Así pues, son instrumentos trascendentales en manos del Señor, y pueden ser utilizados de cualquier manera que el Señor desee. Los devotos puros también disfrutan de esos pasatiempos del Señor, ya que quieren verlo feliz. Los devotos del Señor nunca mantienen una individualidad independiente; por el contrario, utilizan su individualidad en busca de la satisfacción de los deseos del Señor, y esta cooperación de los devotos con el Señor hace que los pasatiempos del Señor se vuelvan una escena perfecta. | | |
