यद्भयाद्वाति वातोऽयं सूर्यस्तपति यद्भयात् ।
यद्भयाद्वर्षते देवो भगणो भाति यद्भयात् ॥४०॥
yad-bhayād vāti vāto ’yaṁ
sūryas tapati yad-bhayāt
yad-bhayād varṣate devo
bha-gaṇo bhāti yad-bhayāt

 | Out of fear of the Supreme Personality of Godhead the wind blows, out of fear of Him the sun shines, out of fear of Him the rain pours forth showers, and out of fear of Him the host of heavenly bodies shed their luster. | | | El viento sopla por temor a la Suprema Personalidad de Dios, por temor a Él luce el Sol, la lluvia cae por temor a Él, y por temor a Él irradian su brillo la multitud de astros celestiales. | |
PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | The Lord states in Bhagavad-gītā, mayādhyakṣeṇa prakṛtiḥ sūyate: “Nature is working under My direction.” The foolish person thinks that nature is working automatically, but such an atheistic theory is not supported in the Vedic literature. Nature is working under the superintendence of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. That is confirmed in Bhagavad-gītā, and we also find here that the sun shines under the direction of the Lord, and the cloud pours forth showers of rain under the direction of the Lord. All natural phenomena are under superintendence of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Viṣṇu. | | | El Señor afirma en el Bhagavad-gītā: mayādhyakṣeṇa prakṛtiḥ sūyate: «La naturaleza actúa bajo Mi dirección». La persona necia cree que la naturaleza actúa por sí sola, pero semejante teoría atea no cuenta con el apoyo de las Escrituras védicas. La naturaleza actúa bajo la dirección superior de la Suprema Personalidad de Dios, como se confirma en el Bhagavad-gītā. Y este verso nos explica también que el Sol brilla bajo la dirección del Señor, y que bajo Su dirección las nubes derraman su lluvia.
