बाहूंश्च मन्दरगिरेः परिवर्तनेन निर्णिक्तबाहुवलयानधिलोकपालान् ।
सञ्चिन्तयेद्दशशतारमसह्यतेजः शङ्खं च तत्करसरोरुहराजहंसम् ॥२७॥
bāhūṁś ca mandara-gireḥ parivartanena
nirṇikta-bāhu-valayān adhiloka-pālān
sañcintayed daśa-śatāram asahya-tejaḥ
śaṅkhaṁ ca tat-kara-saroruha-rāja-haṁsam

 | The yogī should further meditate upon the Lord’s four arms, which are the source of all the powers of the demigods who control the various functions of material nature. Then the yogi should concentrate on the polished ornaments, which were burnished by Mount Mandara as it revolved. He should also duly contemplate the Lord’s discus, the Sudarśana cakra, which contains one thousand spokes and a dazzling luster, as well as the conch, which looks like a swan in His lotuslike palm. | | | Seguidamente, el yogī debe meditar en los cuatro brazos del Señor, que son la fuente de todos los poderes de los semidioses que controlan las diversas funciones de la naturaleza material. Luego debe concentrarse en los brillantes adornos, pulidos por la rotación de la montaña Mandara. También debe contemplar convenientemente el disco del Señor, el cakra Sudarśana, de mil radios y deslumbrante resplandor, y la concha, que es como un cisne en Su palma semejante al loto. | |
PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | All departments of law and order emanate from the arms of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The law and order of the universe is directed by different demigods, and it is here said to emanate from the Lord’s arms. Mandara Hill is mentioned here because when the ocean was churned by the demons on one side and the demigods on the other, Mandara Hill was taken as the churning rod. The Lord in His tortoise incarnation became the pivot for the churning rod, and thus His ornaments were polished by the turning of Mandara Hill. In other words, the ornaments on the arms of the Lord are as brilliant and lustrous as if they had been polished very recently. The wheel in the hand of the Lord, called the Sudarśana cakra, has one thousand spokes. The yogī is advised to meditate upon each of the spokes. He should meditate upon each and every one of the component parts of the transcendental form of the Lord. | | | Todas las instituciones que velan por la ley y el orden emanan de los brazos de la Suprema Personalidad de Dios. Hay una serie de semidioses que regulan la ley y el orden del universo, y aquí se dice que emanan de los brazos del Señor. La mención de la colina Mandara en el verso se debe a que los semidioses y los demonios la utilizaron como palo de batir cuando, unos de un lado y otros del otro, batieron el océano. El Señor, en Su encarnación de tortuga, hizo de pivote para el palo de batir, y de este modo la rotación de la colina Mandara pulió Sus adornos. En otras palabras, los adornos de los brazos del Señor son tan brillantes y lustrosos como si estuviesen recién pulidos. La rueda que el Señor lleva en la mano, que recibe el nombre de cakra Sudarśana, tiene mil radios. Al yogī se le aconseja que medite en cada uno de los radios. Debe meditar en todas las partes que componen la forma trascendental del Señor. | | |
