प्रत्तां दुहितरं सम्राट्सदृक्षाय गतव्यथः
उपगुह्य च बाहुभ्यामौत्कण्ठ्योन्मथिताशयः

prattāṁ duhitaraṁ samrāṭ
sadṛkṣāya gata-vyathaḥ
upaguhya ca bāhubhyām
autkaṇṭhyonmathitāśayaḥ

TRANSLATION — TRADUCCION

Thus relieved of his responsibility by handing over his daughter to a suitable man, Svāyambhuva Manu, his mind agitated by feelings of separation, embraced his affectionate daughter with both his arms.

Así liberado de su responsabilidad al haber entregado su hija a un hombre apropiado, Svāyambhuva Manu, con la mente agitada por sentimientos de separación, abrazó a su afectuosa hija con ambos brazos.

PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO

	A father always remains in anxiety until he can hand over his grownup daughter to a suitable boy. A father and mother’s responsibility for children continues until they marry them to suitable spouses; when the father is able to perform that duty, he is relieved of his responsibility.			Un padre, mientras no puede entregar su hija ya adulta a un joven adecuado, siempre está lleno de ansiedad. La responsabilidad de los padres por los hijos continúa hasta que los casan con cónyuges adecuados; el padre se libera de su responsabilidad cuando puede ejecutar ese deber.
