तमेवान्वपि धीयन्ते लोका भूरादयस्त्रयः
निशायामनुवृत्तायां निर्मुक्तशशिभास्करम्
tam evānv api dhīyante
lokā bhūr-ādayas trayaḥ
niśāyām anuvṛttāyāṁ
nirmukta-śaśi-bhāskaram

 | When the night of Brahmā ensues, all the three worlds are out of sight, and the sun and the moon are without glare, just as in the due course of an ordinary night. | | | Cuando ocurre la noche de Brahmā, los tres mundos están fuera de la visión, y el Sol y la Luna están sin brillo, tal como en el debido curso de una noche ordinaria. | |
PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | It is understood that the glare of the sun and moon disappear from the sphere of the three worlds, but the sun and the moon themselves do not vanish. They appear in the remaining portion of the universe, which is beyond the sphere of the three worlds. The portion in dissolution remains without sun rays or moonglow. It all remains dark and full of water, and there are indefatigable winds, as explained in the following verses. | | | Se entiende que el brillo del Sol y de la Luna desaparecen de la esfera de los tres mundos, pero el Sol y la Luna en sí no se desvanecen. Aparecen en la porción restante del universo, que se encuentra más allá de la esfera de los tres mundos. La porción en la que está ocurriendo la disolución permanece sin rayos solares y sin luz de la Luna. Todo permanece a oscuras y lleno de agua, y soplan infatigables vientos, como se explica en los versos siguientes. | | |
