tato ’kṣara-samāmnāyam
asṛjad bhagavān ajaḥ
antasthoṣma-svara-sparśa-
hrasva-dīrghādi-lakṣaṇam

From that oṁkāra Lord Brahmā created all the sounds of the alphabet — the vowels, consonants, semivowels, sibilants and others — distinguished by such features as long and short measure.A partir de este oṁkāra, el Señor Brahma creó todos los sonidos del alfabeto: las vocales, consonantes, semivocales, sibilantes y otras, que se distinguen por las características como la medida larga y corta.
