prāyeṇārthāḥ kadaryāṇāṁ
na sukhāya kadācana
iha cātmopatāpāya
mṛtasya narakāya ca

TRANSLATION — TRADUCCION

Generally, the wealth of misers never allows them any happiness. In this life it causes their self-torment, and when they die it sends them to hell.

Generalmente, la riqueza de los avaros nunca les otorga felicidad. En esta vida les causa tormento y cuando mueren los envía al infierno.

PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO

	A miser is afraid to spend his money even for obligatory religious and social duties. Offending God and people in general, he goes to hell.			El avaro tiene miedo de gastar su dinero incluso en sus deberes religiosos y sociales obligatorios. Ofendiendo a Dios y a los hombres en general, se va al infierno.
