kāntis tejaḥ prabhā sattā
candrāgny-arkarkṣa-vidyutām
yat sthairyaṁ bhū-bhṛtāṁ bhūmer
vṛttir gandho ’rthato bhavān

 | The glow of the moon, the brilliance of fire, the radiance of the sun, the twinkling of the stars, the flash of lightning, the permanence of mountains and the aroma and sustaining power of the earth — all these are actually You. | | | El resplandor de la Luna, el brillo del fuego, el resplandor del Sol, el centelleo de las estrellas, el destello de los relámpagos, la permanencia de las montañas, el aroma y el poder sustentador de la Tierra, en realidad todo esto eres Tú. | |
PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | Śrī Vasudeva, in telling Kṛṣṇa that He is the essence of the sun, moon, stars, lightning and fire, is only reiterating the opinion of scripture, both śruti and smṛti. The Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad (6.14), for example, states: | | | Śrī Vasudeva, al decirle a Kṛṣṇa que Él es la esencia del Sol, la Luna, las estrellas, el relámpago y el fuego, no hace más que reiterar la opinión de las Escrituras, tanto śruti como smṛti. Por ejemplo, el Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad (6.14) afirma: | | | | | na tatra sūryo bhāti na candra-tārakaṁ
nemā vidyuto bhānti kuto ’yam agniḥ
tam eva bhāntam anu bhāti sarvaṁ
tasya bhāsā sarvam idaṁ vibhāti | | | na tatra sūryo bhāti na candra-tārakaṁ
nemā vidyuto bhānti kuto ’yam agniḥ
tam eva bhāntam anu bhāti sarvaṁ
tasya bhāsā sarvam idaṁ vibhāti | | | | | “There [in the spiritual sky] the sun does not shine, nor does the moon, the stars or lightning as we know them, what to speak of ordinary fire. It is by the reflection of the spiritual sky’s effulgence that everything else gives light, and thus through its radiance this entire universe becomes luminous.” And in Śrīmad-Bhagavad-gītā (15.12), the Supreme Lord says: | | | «Allí [en el cielo espiritual] no brilla el Sol, ni la Luna, ni las estrellas ni los relámpagos tal como lo conocemos, mucho menos el fuego ordinario. Es por el reflejo de la refulgencia del cielo espiritual que todo lo demás da luz, así, a través de su resplandor es que todo este universo se vuelve luminoso». Y en el Śrīmad-Bhagavad-gītā (15.12), el Señor Supremo dice: | | | | | yad āditya-gataṁ tejo
jagad bhāsayate ’khilam

tat tejo viddhi māmakam | | | | | “The splendor of the sun, which dissipates the darkness of this whole world, comes from Me. And the splendor of the moon and the splendor of fire also come from Me.” | | | «El resplandor del Sol, que disipa las tinieblas de todo este mundo, proviene de Mí. El resplandor de la Luna y el resplandor del fuego también provienen de Mí». | | |
