taṁ tathāyāntam ālokya
gadām ādāya satvaraḥ
avaplutya rathāt kṛṣṇaḥ
sindhuṁ veleva pratyadhāt

TRANSLATION — TRADUCCION

Seeing Dantavakra approach, Lord Kṛṣṇa quickly picked up His club, jumped down from His chariot and stopped His advancing opponent just as the shore holds back the ocean.Al ver que Dantavakra se acercaba, el Señor Kṛṣṇa rápidamente tomó Su garrote, saltó de Su carro y detuvo a Su oponente que avanzaba tal como la costa detiene al océano.

PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO

Śrīla Prabhupāda writes:

“When Kṛṣṇa appeared before Dantavakra, his heroic march was immediately stopped, just as the great furious waves of the ocean are stopped by the beach.”

Śrīla Prabhupāda escribe:

«Cuando Kṛṣṇa apareció ante Dantavakra, su heroica marcha se detuvo inmediatamente, tal como las grandes y furiosas olas del océano son detenidas en la playa».
