ye ca dig-vijaye tasya
sannatiṁ na yayur nṛpāḥ
prasahya ruddhās tenāsann
ayute dve girivraje

TRANSLATION — TRADUCCION

Twenty thousand kings who had refused to submit absolutely to Jarāsandha during his world conquest had been forcibly imprisoned by him in the fortress named Girivraja.Veinte mil reyes que se negaron a someterse absolutamente a Jarāsandha durante su conquista mundial fueron encarcelados por la fuerza en la fortaleza llamada Girivraja.

PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO

Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī points out that these kings refused the payment of tribute and other forms of submission to Jarāsandha. Also, there is a well-known account in the Mahābhārata and other literatures that Jarāsandha desired to worship Mahā-bhairava by offering him the lives of one hundred thousand kings in sacrifice.Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī señala que estos reyes se negaron a pagar tributo y otras formas de sumisión a Jarāsandha. Además, hay un relato muy conocido en el Mahābhārata y otras Escrituras de que Jarāsandha deseaba adorar a Mahā-bhairava ofreciéndole la vida de cien mil reyes en sacrificio.
