“O brāhmaṇa, when Ūṣā, the daughter of Bāṇa, happened to see Pārvatī playing with her husband, Lord Śambhu, Ūṣā intensely desired to experience the same feelings.”

«¡Oh, brāhmaṇa! cuando Ūṣā, la hija de Bāṇa, vio a Pārvatī jugando con su esposo, el Señor Śambhu, Ūṣā deseó intensamente experimentar los mismos sentimientos».

“At that time Goddess Gaurī [Pārvatī], who knows everyone’s heart, told the sensitive young girl, ‘Don’t be so disturbed! You will have a chance to enjoy with your own husband.’”

«En ese momento, la Diosa Gaurī [Pārvatī], que conoce el corazón de todos, le dijo a la sensible jovencita: ‘¡No te preocupes tanto! Tendrás la oportunidad de disfrutar con tu propio marido’».

“Hearing this, Ūṣā thought to herself, ‘But when? And who will my husband be?’ In response, Pārvatī addressed her once more.”

«Al escuchar esto, Ūṣā pensó para sí misma: ‘¿Pero cuándo? ¿Y quién será mi marido?’ En respuesta, Pārvatī se dirigió a ella una vez más».

“‘The man who approaches you in your dream on the twelfth lunar day of the bright fortnight of the month Vaiśākha will become your husband, O princess.’”

«‘El hombre que se acerque a ti en tu sueño el duodécimo día lunar de la brillante quincena del mes Vaiśākha se convertirá en tu marido, ¡oh princesa!’».
