śūlaṁ bhaumo ’cyutaṁ hantum
ādade vitathodyamaḥ
tad-visargāt pūrvam eva
narakasya śiro hariḥ
apāharad gaja-sthasya
cakreṇa kṣura-neminā

Bhauma, frustrated in all his attempts, took up his trident to kill Lord Kṛṣṇa. But even before he could release it, the Lord cut off his head with His razor-sharp cakra as the demon sat atop his elephant.Bhauma, frustrado en todos sus intentos, tomó su tridente para matar al Señor Kṛṣṇa. Pero mientras el demonio se sentaba encima de su elefante y antes de que pudiera lanzarlo, el Señor le cortó la cabeza con Su chakra afilado como una navaja.

PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO

According to Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī, as Bhauma raised his invincible trident, Satyabhāmā, sitting on Garuḍa with the Lord, said to Kṛṣṇa, “Kill him right away,” and Kṛṣṇa did just that.Según Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī, mientras Bhauma levantaba su invencible tridente, Satyabhāmā, sentada en Garuḍa junto al Señor, le dijo a Kṛṣṇa: «Mátalo ahora mismo» y Kṛṣṇa hizo precisamente eso.
