iti gopyo hi govinde
gata-vāk-kāya-mānasāḥ
kṛṣṇa-dūte samāyāte
uddhave tyakta-laukikāḥ
gāyantyaḥ prīya-karmāṇi
rudantyaś ca gata-hriyaḥ
tasya saṁsmṛtya saṁsmṛtya
yāni kaiśora-bālyayoḥ

Thus speaking, the gopīs, whose words, bodies and minds were fully dedicated to Lord Govinda, put aside all their regular work now that Kṛṣṇa’s messenger, Śrī Uddhava, had arrived among them. Constantly remembering the activities their beloved Kṛṣṇa had performed in His childhood and youth, they sang about them and cried without shame.Hablando así, las gopīs, cuyas palabras, cuerpos y mentes estaban completamente dedicadas al Señor Govinda, dejaron de lado todo su trabajo regular ahora que el mensajero de Kṛṣṇa, Śrī Uddhava, estaba entre ellas. Recordando constantemente las actividades que su amado Kṛṣṇa realizó en Su niñez y juventud, cantaron sobre ellos y lloraron sin vergüenza.

PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO

The word bālyayoḥ here indicates that ever since their childhood, the gopīs had been completely in love with Kṛṣṇa. Thus even though social custom dictated that they not reveal their love to others, they forgot all external considerations and openly wept before Kṛṣṇa’s messenger, Uddhava.La palabra bālyayoḥ aquí indica que, desde su infancia, las gopīs estuvieron completamente enamoradas de Kṛṣṇa. Así, aunque la costumbre social dictaba que no revelaran su amor a los demás, olvidaron todas las consideraciones externas y lloraron abiertamente ante el mensajero de Kṛṣṇa, Uddhava.
