tāvad vrajaukasas tatra
nanda-gopādayo ’grataḥ
puropavanam āsādya
pratīkṣanto ’vatasthire

TRANSLATION — TRADUCCION

Nanda Mahārāja and the other residents of Vṛndāvana, having reached Mathurā ahead of the chariot, had stopped at a garden on the outskirts of the city to wait for Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma.

Nanda Mahārāja y los demás residentes de Vṛndāvana, habiendo llegado a Mathurā antes que el carro, se detuvieron en un jardín en las afueras de la ciudad para esperar a Kṛṣṇa y a Balarāma.

PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO

	Nanda and the others reached Mathurā first because the chariot carrying Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma was delayed by Akrūra’s bathing.			Nanda y los demás llegaron primero a Mathurā porque el baño de Akrūra retrasó el carro que transportaba a Kṛṣṇa y a Balarāma.
