तत्र ब्रह्मर्षयः सर्वे देवर्षयश्च सत्तम
राजर्षयश्च तत्रासन्द्रष्टुं भरतपुङ्गवम्

rājarṣayaś ca tatrāsan
draṣṭuṁ bharata-puṅgavam

TRANSLATION — TRADUCCION

Just to see the chief of the descendants of King Bharata [Bhīṣma], all the great souls in the universe, namely the ṛṣis amongst the demigods, brāhmaṇas and kings, all situated in the quality of goodness, were assembled there.

Sólo para ver al principal de los descendientes del rey Bharata [Bhīṣma], estaban allí reunidas todas las grandes almas del universo, es decir, los ṛṣis entre los semidioses, brāhmaṇas y reyes, situados todos bajo la influencia de la modalidad de la bondad.

PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO

	The ṛṣis are those who have attained perfection by spiritual achievements. Such spiritual achievements can be earned by all, whether one is a king or a mendicant. Bhīṣmadeva himself was also one of the brahmarṣis and the chief of the descendants of King Bharata. All ṛṣis are situated in the quality of goodness. All of them assembled there on hearing the news of the great warrior’s impending death.			Los ṛṣis son aquellos que han alcanzado la perfección mediante logros espirituales. Todo el mundo puede obtener esos logros espirituales, ya sea uno un rey o un mendicante. El propio Bhīṣmadeva era también uno de los brahmarṣis y el principal de los descendientes del rey Bharata. Todos los ṛṣis están situados bajo la influencia de la cualidad de la bondad. Todos ellos se reunieron allí al oír la noticia de la inminente muerte del gran guerrero.
