अपरे वसुदेवस्य देवक्यां याचितोऽभ्यगात्
अजस्त्वमस्य क्षेमाय वधाय च सुरद्विषाम्
apare vasudevasya
devakyāṁ yācito ’bhyagāt
ajas tvam asya kṣemāya
vadhāya ca sura-dviṣām

 | Others say that since both Vasudeva and Devakī prayed for You, You have taken Your birth as their son. Undoubtedly You are unborn, yet You take Your birth for their welfare and to kill those who are envious of the demigods. | | | Otros dicen que Tú has nacido como hijo de Devakī y Vasudeva, debido a que ambos oraron por Ti. Es indudable que eres innaciente, pero, sin embargo, naces por su bienestar, y para matar a aquellos que están envidiosos de los semidioses. | |
PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | It is also said that Vasudeva and Devakī, in their previous birth as Sutapā and Pṛśni, underwent a severe type of penance to get the Lord as their son, and as a result of such austerities the Lord appeared as their son. It is already declared in the Bhagavad-gītā that the Lord appears for the welfare of all people of the world and to vanquish the asuras, or the materialistic atheists. | | | También se dice que Vasudeva y Devakī, en su nacimiento anterior como Sutapā y Pṛśni, se sometieron a un severo tipo de penitencia para obtener al Señor en calidad de hijo, y como resultado de esas austeridades el Señor apareció como hijo de ellos. Ya se ha declarado en el Bhagavad-gītā que el Señor aparece por el bienestar de toda la gente del mundo y para vencer a los asuras, o los materialistas ateos. | | |
