 | The so-called administrators are now bewildered by the influence of this Age of Kali, and thus they have put all state affairs into disorder. Are you now lamenting this disorder? Now the general populace does not follow the rules and regulations for eating, sleeping, drinking, mating, etc., and they are inclined to perform such anywhere and everywhere. Are you unhappy because of this? | | | Los supuestos administradores ahora están confundidos por la influencia de esta era de Kali, y por eso han puesto en desorden todos los asuntos del Estado. ¿Se lamenta usted por ese desorden? PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | There are some necessities of life on a par with those of the lower animals, and they are eating, sleeping, fearing and mating. These bodily demands are for both the human beings and the animals. But the human being has to fulfill such desires not like animals, but like a human being. A dog can mate with a bitch before the public eyes without hesitation, but if a human being does so the act will be considered a public nuisance, and the person will be criminally prosecuted. Therefore for the human being there are some rules and regulations, even for fulfilling common demands. The human society avoids such rules and regulations when it is bewildered by the influence of the Age of Kali. In this age, people are indulging in such necessities of life without following the rules and regulations, and this deterioration of social and moral rules is certainly lamentable because of the harmful effects of such beastly behavior. In this age, the fathers and the guardians are not happy with the behavior of their wards. They should know that so many innocent children are victims of bad association awarded by the influence of this Age of Kali. We know from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam that Ajāmila, an innocent son of a brāhmaṇa, was walking down a road and saw a śūdra pair sexually embracing. This attracted the boy, and later on the boy became a victim of all debaucheries. From a pure brāhmaṇa, he fell down to the position of a wretched urchin, and it was all due to bad association. There was but one victim like Ajāmila in those days, but in this Age of Kali the poor innocent students are daily victims of cinemas which attract men only for sex indulgence. The so-called administrators are all untrained in the affairs of a kṣatriya. The kṣatriyas are meant for administration, as the brāhmaṇas are meant for knowledge and guidance. The word kṣatra-bandhu refers to the so-called administrators or persons promoted to the post of the administrator without proper training by culture and tradition. Nowadays they are promoted to such exalted posts by the votes of the people who are themselves fallen in the rules and regulations of life. How can such people select a proper man when they are themselves fallen in the standard of life? Therefore, by the influence of the Age of Kali, everywhere, politically, socially or religiously, everything is topsy-turvy, and therefore for the sane man it is all regrettable. | | | En la vida existen ciertas necesidades que son iguales a las de los animales inferiores, y ellas son: comer, dormir, temer y aparearse. Estas exigencias del cuerpo son propias tanto de los seres humanos como de los animales. Pero el ser humano tiene que satisfacer esos deseos no como los animales, sino como ser humano. El perro puede aparearse con una perra a la luz pública sin vacilación, pero si un ser humano lo hace, el acto se considerará una perturbación del orden público, y la persona en cuestión será procesada como delincuente. De modo que, para el ser humano hay ciertas reglas y regulaciones, incluso en lo que se refiere a satisfacer las necesidades comunes. La sociedad humana evade esas reglas y regulaciones cuando se halla confundida por la influencia de la era de Kali. En esta era, la gente se entrega a la satisfacción de esas necesidades de la vida sin seguir las reglas y regulaciones, y este deterioro de las reglas sociales y morales es sin duda lamentable, debido a los efectos perniciosos de semejante comportamiento bestial. En esta era, los padres y tutores no están contentos con el comportamiento de sus hijos y pupilos. Ellos han de saber que muchísimos niños inocentes son víctimas de la mala asociación que depara la influencia de esta era de Kali. El Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam nos hace saber que Ajāmila, el inocente hijo de un brāhmaṇa, iba caminando por una calle, y vio a una pareja de śūdras abrazados de un modo sexual. Esto atrajo al muchacho, quien posteriormente fue víctima de toda clase de perversiones. De la posición de un brāhmaṇa puro cayó hasta la de un miserable truhán, y todo ello se debió a la mala asociación. En aquellos días no había más que una víctima como Ajāmila, pero en esta era de Kali, los pobres e inocentes estudiantes son víctimas a diario de cines que atraen a los hombres únicamente a la complacencia sexual. Todos los supuestos administradores no han sido formados en lo que compete al kṣatriya. Los kṣatriyas tiene la función de administrar, así como los brāhmaṇas tiene la función de ocuparse del conocimiento y la guía. La palabra kṣatriya-bandhu se refiere a los supuestos administradores o personas promovidas al cargo de administrador sin haber recibido la debida formación a través de la tradición y la cultura. Hoy en día esas personas son promovidas a esas elevadas posiciones, en virtud de los votos de la gente que de por sí no observa las reglas y regulaciones de la vida. ¿Cómo pueden esa clase de personas elegir a un hombre idóneo, cuando ellas mismas tienen un nivel de vida bajo? Así pues, por influencia de la era de Kali, en todas partes todo se encuentra trastocado en sentido político, social y religioso, por ende, todo ello es deplorable para el hombre cuerdo. | | |
