पृथाप्यनुश्रुत्य धनञ्जयोदितं नाशं यदूनां भगवद्गतिं च ताम्
एकान्तभक्त्या भगवत्यधोक्षजे निवेशितात्मोपरराम संसृतेः
pṛthāpy anuśrutya dhanañjayoditaṁ
nāśaṁ yadūnāṁ bhagavad-gatiṁ ca tām
ekānta-bhaktyā bhagavaty adhokṣaje
niveśitātmopararāma saṁsṛteḥ

 | Kuntī, after overhearing Arjuna’s telling of the end of the Yadu dynasty and disappearance of Lord Kṛṣṇa, engaged in the devotional service of the transcendental Personality of Godhead with full attention and thus gained release from the course of material existence. | | | Kunti, después de oír casualmente a Arjuna hablar del final de la dinastía Yadu y de la desaparición del Señor Kṛṣṇa, se dedicó al servicio de la trascendental Personalidad de Dios con plena atención, y de ese modo obtuvo la liberación del curso de la existencia material. | |
PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | The setting of the sun does not mean the end of the sun. It means that the sun is out of our sight. Similarly, the end of the mission of the Lord on a particular planet or universe only means that He is out of our sight. The end of the Yadu dynasty also does not mean that it is annihilated. It disappears, along with the Lord, out of our sight. As Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira decided to prepare to go back to Godhead, so also Kuntī decided, and thus she fully engaged herself in the transcendental devotional service of the Lord which guarantees one a passport for going back to Godhead after quitting this present material body. The beginning of devotional service to the Lord is the beginning of spiritualizing the present body, and thus an unalloyed devotee of the Lord loses all material contact in the present body. The abode of the Lord is not a myth, as is thought by the unbelievers or ignorant people, but one cannot reach there by any material means like a sputnik or space capsule. But one can certainly reach there after leaving this present body, and one must prepare himself to go back to Godhead by practicing devotional service. That guarantees a passport for going back to Godhead, and Kuntī adopted it. | | | La puesta del Sol no significa el final del Sol. Lo que significa es que el Sol queda fuera del alcance de nuestra vista. De igual modo, el fin de la misión del Señor en un determinado planeta o universo, sólo significa que Él queda fuera del alcance de nuestra vista. El fin de la dinastía Yadu tampoco significa que la misma estuviera aniquilada. Ella desaparece, junto con el Señor, de ante nuestra vista. Así como Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira decidió prepararse para ir de vuelta a Dios, así mismo ocurrió con Kuntī, en consecuencia, ella se dedicó por completo al trascendental servicio del Señor, el cual le garantiza a uno un pasaporte para ir de vuelta a Dios al abandonar el presente cuerpo material. Comenzar a prestarle al Señor servicio devocional es comenzar a reespiritualizar el cuerpo actual, así pues, un devoto puro del Señor pierde todo contacto con lo material en el cuerpo actual. La morada del Señor no es un mito, como piensan los incrédulos y las personas ignorantes, pero uno no puede llegar ahí por ningún medio material, tal como la cápsula espacial o el sputnik. Sin embargo, es indudable que uno puede llegara ahí al abandonar este cuerpo presente, y que hay que prepararse para ir de vuelta a Dios, mediante la práctica del servicio devocional. Ello garantiza un pasaporte para ir de vuelta a Dios, y Kuntī lo adoptó. | | |
