सौहार्देनातिगाढेन शान्तासीद्विमला मतिः

 | Sūta Gosvāmī said: Thus being deeply absorbed in thinking of the instructions of the Lord, which were imparted in the great intimacy of friendship, and in thinking of His lotus feet, Arjuna’s mind became pacified and free from all material contamination. | | | Sūta Gosvāmī dijo: Estando así profundamente absorto en las instrucciones del Señor, las cuales se habían impartido por medio de la gran intimidad de la amistad, y absorto también en Sus pies de loto, la mente de Arjuna se apaciguó y se liberó de toda contaminación material. | |
PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | Since the Lord is absolute, deep meditation upon Him is as good as yogic trance. The Lord is nondifferent from His name, form, quality, pastimes, entourage and specific actions. Arjuna began to think of the Lord’s instructions to him on the Battlefield of Kurukṣetra. Only those instructions began to eliminate the tinges of material contamination in the mind of Arjuna. The Lord is like the sun; the sun’s appearance means immediate dissipation of darkness, or ignorance, and the Lord’s appearance within the mind of the devotee can at once drive away the miserable material effects. Lord Caitanya has therefore recommended constant chanting of the name of the Lord for protection from all contamination of the material world. The feeling of separation from the Lord is undoubtedly painful to the devotee, but because it is in connection with the Lord, it has a specific transcendental effect which pacifies the heart. Feelings of separation are also sources of transcendental bliss, and they are never comparable to contaminated material feelings of separation. | | | Como el Señor es absoluto, la profunda meditación en Él es igual que el trance yóguico. El Señor no es diferente de Su nombre, forma, calidad, pasatiempos, séquito y acciones específicas. Arjuna se puso a pensar en las instrucciones que el Señor le había dado en el campo de batalla de Kurukṣetra. Sólo esas instrucciones comenzaron a eliminar las trazas de contaminación material que había en la mente de Arjuna. El Señor es como el Sol; la aparición del Sol entraña la inmediata disipación de la obscuridad o la ignorancia, y la aparición del Señor en la mente del devoto puede de inmediato alejar los desoladores efectos materiales. En consecuencia, el Señor Caitanya ha recomendado el canto constante de los nombre del Señor, para uno protegerse de toda la contaminación del mundo material. El sentimiento de estar separado del Señor es indudablemente doloroso para el devoto, pero debido a que ese sentimiento está relacionado con el Señor, tiene un efecto trascendental específico que tranquiliza el corazón.
