 | One is compared to the lion when one is very strong in chasing an enemy. One should be a lamb at home and a lion in the chase. The lion never fails in the chase of an animal; similarly, the head of the state should never fail in chasing an enemy. The Himālaya Mountains are famous for all richness. There are innumerable caves to live in, numberless trees of good fruits to eat, good springs to drink water from and profuse drugs and minerals to cure diseases. Any man who is not materially prosperous can take shelter of these great mountains, and he will be provided with everything required. Both the materialist and the spiritualist can take advantage of the great shelter of the Himālayas. On the surface of the earth there are so many disturbances caused by the inhabitants. In the modern age the people have begun to detonate atomic weapons on the surface of the earth, and still the earth is forbearing to the inhabitants, like a mother who excuses a little child. Parents are always tolerant to children for all sorts of mischievous acts. An ideal king may be possessed of all these good qualities, and the child Parīkṣit is foretold to have all these qualities in perfection. | | | Se dice que uno se asemeja al león, cuando se es muy fuerte en perseguir al enemigo. Uno debe ser un cordero en el hogar, y un león en la persecución. El león nunca falla al perseguir a un animal; de igual modo, el cabeza del Estado jamás debe fallar al perseguir al enemigo. Los montes Himalayas son famosos por tener toda clase de riquezas. Existen en ellos innumerables cuevas donde vivir, infinidad de árboles de buenas frutas para comer, buenos manantiales para beber agua, y abundantes drogas y minerales para curar enfermedades. Cualquier hombre que no tenga prosperidad material puede refugiarse en estas grandes montañas, y se le proveerá de todo lo necesario. Tanto el materialista como el espiritualista pueden sacar provecho del gran refugio de los Himalayas. En la faz de la Tierra hay muchísimos disturbios que los habitantes causan. En la era actual la gente ha comenzado a detonar armas atómicas en la superficie de la Tierra, y aun así ésta es condescendiente con los habitantes, tal como una madre que excusa a un hijito. Los padres siempre les toleran a los hijos toda clase de travesuras. Un rey ideal ha de poseer todas esas buenas cualidades, y se prevé que el niño Parīkṣit las tendrá en sumo grado. | |
