 |  | In the meantime, the Pandavas, having escaped the city of Varanavata, sought safety to the south, and with great speed they made their way. Heading steadily south, they easily found their way by the stars. With much endeavor, O king, they reached the deep jungle under cover of night. Thereupon the sons of Pandu, pained by thirst, blinded by sleep, and their energy spent, spoke again to the great champion Bhima.
| | Mientras tanto, los Pandavas habiendo escapado de la ciudad de Varanavata trataron de encontrar refugio hacia el sur y con gran prisa se pusieron en camino, dirigiéndose sin descanso hacia el sur fácilmente encontraron su camino con las estrellas. Con mucho esfuerzo ¡oh rey!, se adentraron en la selva bajo la protección de la noche. Acto seguido los hijos de Pandu afligidos por la sed y ofuscados por dormir y con sus energías agotadas, le hablaron de nuevo al gran campeón Bhima.
| | | "What could be more miserable than for us to be here in this deep jungle? We have no idea where we are, and we don't have the strength to go any farther. We don't even know if Purocana has actually died in the fire. What can we possibly do to save ourselves from this danger without anyone's seeing us or knowing that we are alive? Carry us again, like before, and keep going. You are the only one of us who has any strength left, for only you can go on forever like the wind".
| | "¿Que podría ser más miserable para nosotros que estar en la selva densa y profunda? No tenemos idea de dónde estamos y no tenemos fuerza para ir más lejos, ni siquiera sabemos si Purocana realmente murió en el incendio, ¿qué podemos hacer para salvarnos de este peligro sin que nadie nos vea o sepa de que estamos vivos? Llévanos cargando nuevamente como antes, y sigue adelante. Tú eres el único de nosotros al que todavía le queda fuerza porque solamente tú puedes proseguir permanentemente como el viento".
