Great brahmana, kindly explain to me Krpa's origin. How could he take birth from a clump of grass, and how did he acquire his expert knowledge of weapons?

Gran brahmana bondadosamente explícame el origen de Krpa, ¿cómo pudo tomar nacimiento de un manojo de hierba?, y ¿cómo adquirió su experto conocimiento sobre las armas?

O mighty king, once the great seer Gautama had a son who was born with arrows and hence was named Saradvan. The child was inspired to study the Vedic texts that teach the military science rather than study the religious texts. Just as by austerity religious scholars master the Vedas, so by serious austerity did that child acquire expertise in all kinds of weapons. Wholly dedicated to the Dhanur Veda (the military science) and empowered by endless austerities, the son of Gautama greatly disturbed Lord Indra, king of the gods. O Kaurava, Indra then dispatched a heavenly maiden named Jalapadi, telling her, "You must go and break the austierities of that sage!"

¡Oh poderoso rey!, una vez el gran vidente Gautama tuvo a un hijo que nació con flechas y por ello se le llamó Saradvan, el niño fue inspirado a estudiar los textos védicos que enseñan la ciencia militar en lugar de estudiar los textos religiosos, así como por austeridad los eruditos religiosos dominan los Vedas, de la misma manera por serias austeridades el niño se hizo experto en todo tipo de armas. Completamente dedicado al Dhanur Veda (la ciencia militar) y facultado por interminables austeridades, el hijo de Gautama perturbó enormemente al Señor Indra, el rey de los semidioses. ¡Oh Kaurava!, entonces Indra envío a una doncella celestial llamada Jalapadi y le dijo: "¡Debes ir y detener las austeridades de ese sabio!".
| | | Jalapadi approached the charming hermitage of Saradvan and found him standing with bow and arrows in hand. She enticed him. Seeing the Apsara maiden, who had but a single cloth to cover a figure unmatched in this world, the son of Gautama stared with wide-open eyes. His prized bow and arrows slipped from his hands and fell to the ground, for simply seeing her made his whole body tremble. Because of his continuous austerities, he had developed very heavy spiritual knowledge, and with his utmost self-discipline that sage of great learning stood his ground. But with the sudden transformations in his body, Saradvan unknowingly discharged semen, which fell into a clump of reeds. He then left behind his hermitage, and the woman and went away. Having fallen into a clump of reeds, the semen divided into two, O king, and thus twins were born of Saradvan, son of Gautama.
| | Jalapadi se aproximó a la encantadora ermita de Saradvan, lo encontró parado con su arco y flechas en la mano y lo sedujo. Viendo a la doncella Apsara que tenía solo una simple tela que cubría su figura incomparable en este mundo, el hijo de Gautama la miró fijamente con los ojos bien abiertos, su preciado arco y flechas se deslizaron de sus manos y cayeron al piso, nada más de verla hizo que todo su cuerpo temblara. Debido a sus austeridades continuas había desarrollado un conocimiento espiritual muy profundo y con su mayor esfuerzo de autodisciplina ese sabio de gran erudición se quedó parado en el suelo pero por las repentinas transformaciones en su cuerpo y sin darse cuenta , Saradvan descargó semen que cayó sobre la hierba, luego abandonó su ermita y la mujer se fue. Habiendo caído el semen sobre la hierba se dividió en dos ¡oh rey!, y de este modo nacieron gemelos de Saradvan, el hijo de Gautama.
