हतॊ वा पराप्स्यसि सवर्गं जित्वा वा भॊक्ष्यसे महीम
तस्माद उत्तिष्ठ कौन्तेय युद्धाय कृतनिश्चयः
hato vā prāpsyasi svargaṁ
jitvā vā bhokṣyase mahīm
tasmād uttiṣṭha kaunteya
yuddhāya kṛta-niścayaḥ

TRANSLATION — TRADUCCION
 | O son of Kuntī, either you will be killed on the battlefield and attain the heavenly planets, or you will conquer and enjoy the earthly kingdom. Therefore, get up with determination and fight.
| | ¡Oh hijo de Kuntī!, o mueres en el campo de batalla y alcanzas los planetas celestiales, o conquistas y disfrutas el reino terrenal. Levántate pues y lucha con determinación.

PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | Even though there was no certainty of victory for Arjuna’s side, he still had to fight; for, even being killed there, he could be elevated into the heavenly planets.
| | Aun cuando la victoria no estaba segura para el bando de Arjuna, éste tenía que luchar puesto que incluso si moría en la batalla, podía ser elevado a los planetas celestiales.
