यावत संजायते किं चित सत्त्वं सथावरजङ्गमम
कषेत्रक्षेत्रज्ञसंयॊगात तद विद्धि भरतर्षभ
yāvat sañjāyate kiñcit
sattvaṁ sthāvara-jaṅgamam
kṣetra-kṣetrajña-saṁyogāt
tad viddhi bharatarṣabha

TRANSLATION — TRADUCCION
 | O chief of the Bhāratas, know that whatever you see in existence, both the moving and the nonmoving, is only a combination of the field of activities and the knower of the field.
| | ¡Oh jefe de los Bhāratas!, debes saber que cualquier cosa que veas existiendo, tanto móvil como inmóvil, es únicamente la combinación entre el campo de actividades y el conocedor del campo.

PURPORT — SIGNIFICADO
| | Both material nature and the living entity, which were existing before the creation of the cosmos, are explained in this verse. Whatever is created is but a combination of the living entity and material nature. There are many manifestations like trees, mountains and hills which are not moving, and there are many existences which are moving, and all of them are but combinations of material nature and the superior nature, the living entity. Without the touch of the superior nature, the living entity, nothing can grow. The relationship between material nature and spiritual nature is eternally going on, and this combination is effected by the Supreme Lord; therefore He is the controller of both the superior and inferior natures. The material nature is created by Him, and the superior nature is placed in this material nature, and thus all these activities and manifestations take place.
| | En este verso se explica tanto la naturaleza material como la entidad viviente, las cuales existían antes de la creación del cosmos. Cualquier cosa que es creada no es sino una combinación de la natunileza material y la entidad viviente. Hay muchas manifestaciones tales como los árboles, las montañás y las colinas las cuales son inmóviles y hay muchas existencias que son móviles, todos ellas no son sino combinaciones de la naturaleza material, la naturaleza superior, la entidad viviente. Sin el contacto con la naturaleza superior (la entidad viviente), nada puede crecer. Por lo tanto, la relación entre la naturaleza superior y la materia prosigue en forma eterna, el Señor Supremo efectúa esta combinación; por lo tanto, El es el controlador tanto de la naturaleza superior así como de la inferior. La naturaleza material es creada por Él y en esta naturaleza material es colocada la naturaleza superior, así suceden todas estas actividades y manifestaciones.
